The Brian S. McCarthy Memorial Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its first scholarships of $2,500 each; Nashua High South graduate Paige Garland and Nashua High North graduate Maggie Paratore.
Paige will be majoring in Environmental Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and playing volleyball. A well rounded and engaged student, Paige loves the outdoors and is eager to protect and enhance our natural resources.
Maggie will also be attending WPI in the field of Engineering. Maggie has taken opportunity to participate in various programs such as a pilot course that resulted in a curriculum course on drones. She welcomes the opportunity to advance women in science and engineering.
